The “Geometries of Power in Kolkata” project seeks to build on research published recently in Environment and Planning C that examines how para clubs act as everyday governance actors in Bardhaman and Midnapore. Along with Sumita Roy I am building on this prior research to examine how residents of Kolkata and the institutions that govern them navigate the heterogenous institutional landscape that includes clubs, political parties and other actors. Data collection for this project will start in September 2019. Updates in the form of blog posts and eventual publications will be posted here. We expect to publish these in English and where possible বাংলা .
